Drink a large glass of water. Water will help flush your system. Drink two glasses if you can. You’ll feel light and refreshed.
Stretch. Everyone has a muscle group or part of their body that is tighter than the rest. Concentrate on that part. Hold the stretch for as long as you feel necessary. Allow your body to fully relax. When one tight spot has loosened, move on to the next. Keep going until you feel partly transformed into a jelly fish.
Clean something. Choose one area or room to concentrate your cleaning energy on and attack it. Maybe you sweep all the floors or you clean the whole kitchen. Maybe you finally clear off the table and wipe it down. Pick one spot and clean it to your own satisfaction.
Exfoliate. Whether you have a pumice stone or a loofa, exfoliate every part of you you can reach. Do away with all that old skin. We’re starting fresh.
Take a shower. Take the most thorough shower of your life. You can exfoliate here, shave, deep clean your feet, put on a face or hair mask and leave feeling like a new human being.
Lymph massage. You can do this during or after the shower. If you have a dry brush, this is the perfect time to use it. Make sure you are completely dried off. Lymph nodes are behind your knees, near your armpits, high up your inner thigh (basically on either side of the groin), and a good place to stimulate in just under your belly button. Make circles on your stomach from lower right, up, upper left, to lower left and repeat. This will aid your digestion.
Lotion. Now that we’ve done away with the old, dead skin and cleaned what’s left, we need to give it the nourishment it needs. For added benefit, when you lotion, pull the lotion towards your heart with each stroke. This will again stimulate your lymph system, putting that water we drank earlier into action. If you know some self-massage, you can do that now.
Put on something you enjoy wearing or nothing at all. It is completely up to you. Whatever makes you comfortable. If you wish to do your hair up in a fancy (or practical) way, no one can stop you.
Nourish your mind. Read a book, watch a documentary, or listen to a lecture. Our body is refreshed it is time to give the mind something to do.
Indulge in something. Whether that’s a glass of wine, your favorite treat, a scented candle, a couple episodes of your favorite show or simply going on a walk. Allow yourself to do something you really enjoy.
The rest is up to you. You can complete/start a task you’ve been putting off. You can make that purchase you know you should or you know will make you really happy. Do some serious research on what it would take to start that business you’ve always dreamed of. You can call that friend that you always think of but somehow never call. Journal. Write a goals list. Make a vision board. Write a list of everything you’ve experienced in life that you’re grateful for. Remember this feeling and remember how easy it was to get here and live your life with renewed vigor.
